The program consists of basic courses such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering foundations, introduction to petroleum engineering, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics which are delivered within the first two years. Third and fourth years delve into in-depth understanding of different petroleum engineering disciplines such as reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, production, drilling, etc. These topics enhance knowledge of students to solve problems in oil and gas production, field development strategies, drilling/production design, and economic analysis.
