Program description

Petroleum Engineering postgraduate program at Nazarbayev University is a two-year, full-time MSc degree program designed to provide students with a scientific background in hydrocarbon exploration, reservoir management, productions, and skills in the practical aspects of petroleum engineering.   This program aims to train engineering professionals who can design, operate and manage petroleum operations as well as develop research skills and knowledge to provide support to the oil & gas industry to have sound, safe, and sustainable petroleum operations.

MSc in Mining Engineering

Program description

The Master of Science (MSc) in Mining Engineering degree is a specialized graduate program offered by the School of Mining and Geosciences (SMG) Department of Mining Engineering at Nazarbayev University (NU). Students are required to complete 120 ECTS credits, in 4 semesters, which satisfies requirements stipulated by the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) for Master’s Degrees. The program is designed to establish advanced skills and a detailed knowledge base at the graduate level for individuals working in academia, industry or research settings in Kazakhstan or throughout the world.
