The School of Mining and Geosciences (SMG) at Nazarbayev University recently hosted representatives from the Geological Surveys of the United States, Finland, and Germany, together with the National Geological Survey of Kazakhstan.
The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to expand the activities of the National Geological Survey of Kazakhstan, developing potential joint scientific research projects, and fostering cooperation in organizing and conducting geological mapping across Kazakhstan.
The parties also reached an agreement on mutual support in these initiatives, ensuring a strong foundation for long-term collaboration.
A significant part of the discussions was dedicated to involving Nazarbayev University students in these projects, enabling them to gain valuable practical experience, enhance their research skills, and prepare for successful careers in the geosciences sector.
