20 students of MSc Mining Engineering Program of the School of Mining and Geosciences have been provided with opportunity to pass summer internship at Kazakhstan’s mining company – KAZZINC, which is a major producer of zinc with a notable extraction of copper, lead and precious metals in our country.
Starting from May 20th through July 13th students were accepted as the interns to the Ridder-Sokolniy, Maleevskiy and Altyntau-Kokshetau mines of LLP KAZZINC.
During the internship, students have joined the Departments of Mine Planning, Mine Ventilation, Geomechanics and have worked in both open pit and underground mining operations.
