School of Mining and Geosciences of Nazarbayev University is pleased to announce that online applications are now being accepted for Chevron Scholarship, a new scholarship developed in cooperation with Chevron, TCO and Colorado School of Mines.
This scholarship category is available for applicants, who meet the following requirements:
The admitted students would be expected to join field expeditions that would start in the middle of May, 2023 and continue periodically through the summer field season.

- to be citizens of Kazakhstan;
- to have the BSc diploma or be in the BSc final year in Geology/Geoscience and/or Petroleum Engineering;
- to meet the NU SMG MSc Programs admission requirements for the English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) and academic performance (CGPA).
The admitted students would be expected to join field expeditions that would start in the middle of May, 2023 and continue periodically through the summer field season.

Online application deadline for Chevron scholarship - March 6, 2023 inclusive (23:59 Astana time).
In order to apply follow the steps below:
- Register on admissions.nu.edu.kz and create your Personal account;
- Complete your application form MSc in Petroleum Engineering program and attach the required scanned copies of the documents listed in the Personal account;
- Pay the application fee (application fee is non-refundable). Application fee is paid online via your Personal account in “My Application Forms” section with a bank card authorized for online/internet transactions;
- Finish the registration process by pressing the “Submit application” button. After the submission, applicants cannot change their applications;
- Submit your IELTS/TOEFL electronic results from the Test administrator and upload a scanned copy of certificate to a Personal account («Upload IELTS/TOEFL results» section) according to the instructions in the Personal Account.
