Izwan completed his BSc in Chemical Engineering in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia in 2005, followed by Master in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University in year 2016. Izwan comes with more than 17 years of Oil and Gas covering aspects of reservoir engineering, economics, and strategic components worldwide.
Izwan started his career in PETRONAS in Reservoir Engineering, and he had contributed in major roles with high profile in IOC/NOC, such as Shell, REPSOL, ONGC, Indian Oil, CNPC, and PDVSA in field development projects worldwide worth billions of dollars of development capital expenditures. Starting from 2015, Izwan serves as the Senior Reservoir Engineer with Dragon Oil Holdings based in Dubai, UAE. In Dragon Oil Holdings, Izwan is responsible for delivering high value activities that involves Reservoir Studies & Characterization, Field/Wells Planning & Development, Reserves and Resources Management, and Organizational Improvement in Turkmenistan Assets.
In SPE, Izwan is the Technical and Social chair of Dubai & Emirates Section since 2019 and a longtime member of SPE Kuala Lumpur. He has contributed in organizing numerous technical webinar events, delivered adjunct technical sessions in universities, and monthly golf networking that involves operating and service companies. Izwan also has served committees during ADIPEC since 2019, namely in the ADIPEC University Programme. He is also part of ADIPEC Technical Committee for this year.
