The Chair of Royal Dutch Shell Company, Mr. Charles Holliday and Chair of Shell Kazakhstan, Mr. Olivier Lazare, visited SMG on the 18th of September 2019 as part of their Nazarbayev University tour. The guests were introduced to new Petroleum Engineering labs including the Drilling Simulation laboratory, Conventional Core Analysis and Fluids Characterization Laboratories that have been equipped recently. Tour of the of new labs and introduction of SMG students to leading edge facilities demonstrate the schhool's focus on capacity building and its efforts to strengthen its cooperation with industry.
