NU SMG students participated in the 14th International Conference on Geostatistics for Environmental Applications (geoENV2022) which took place in Italy, at the Campus of the University of Parma between June 22 and June 24, 2022. GeoENV2022 is a leading forum for scientists across a broad range of disciplines to share their experiences on the application of geostatistics to environmental problems with new cases, results and relevant discussions.

NU SMG students conducted their work under the supervision of Dr. Nasser Madani, Assistant Professor of NU SMG and presented the following projects:

  1. USING SEQUENTIAL INDICATOR SIMULATION TO MODEL NON-STATIONARY GEOLOGICAL DOMAINS COMBINING WITH A MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHM - Almas Amirzhan (MSc Mining Engineering), Nasser Madani
  2. GEOSTATISTICS FOR COMPOSITIONAL DATA: COMPARISON OF LOGARITHMIC TRANSFORMATION METHODS IN AN IRON DEPOSIT - Milena Nasretdinova (MSc Mining Engineering), Nasser Madani
  3. IMPLICIT GEOLOGICAL DOMAIN MODELING BY USING GAUSSIAN PROCESSES ALGORITHM - Talgatbek Bazarbekov (PhD Mining Engineering), Nasser Madani
