Total Energy Summer School Closing Ceremony

The second edition of “Total Energy Summer School”, organized by Total and supported by Nazarbayev University School of Mining and Geosciences started on May 13th and will have its Closing Ceremony today, May 17th 2019 at Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

“Total Energy Summer School” was initially intended for both Undergraduate and Masters students who study topics related to energy. Participants studying in fields related to the following fields were particularly interested in attending the courses: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries, Geology and the Environment. The summer school also welcomed students exploring questions related to energy from the perspective of International Relations, International Law, and Business and Management.

During the opening ceremony of “Total Energy Summer School” a roundtable discussion themed – Developing more competitive oil & gas and renewables sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan through enhanced educational programs and sharing of best practical industrial experience – was held. Among attendees were experts from Total, representatives of Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Energy, Industry associations, National companies, Universities, and other leaders in the industry. This Roundtable was a part of the Roadmap for partnership with investors on the development of technical and vocational education occurring within the Foreign Investors’ Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
